Questions, answered

Anything else on your mind? Call Louise or message on Instagram — no question is too small.

What is permanent make up?

Permanent make up (PMU) is cosmetic tattooing — soft, natural pigment placed into the skin to enhance your features. Louise specialises in lip blush, which restores colour and definition to the lips, and powder brows, which give a soft, filled-in brow that replaces daily pencilling.

Does lip blush or powder brow treatment hurt?

Most clients find it far more comfortable than they expect. A numbing cream is applied before and during the treatment, and Louise checks in with you throughout — her reviews mention how caring she is through the whole process.

How long does permanent make up last?

Results typically last one to three years depending on your skin type, lifestyle and sun exposure. A colour boost appointment every 12–18 months keeps lips and brows looking their freshest.

What happens at my first appointment?

Your first visit starts with a consultation — shape mapping, pigment matching and a full run-through of the process. The initial treatment follows, and a six-week follow-up appointment perfects the result once your skin has healed.

Do I need a patch test?

Yes — a patch test is required before your first permanent make up or tinting appointment, at least 48 hours in advance. It only takes a few minutes and can be done at the studio.

How should I look after my new lips or brows?

You'll leave with full written aftercare. In short: keep the area clean and dry for the first week, avoid make up on the treated area, skip saunas and sunbeds while healing, and let any flaking come away naturally.
